Governor Little has transitioned Idaho into Stage 1 of his 4 stage plan, Idaho Rebounds, to reopen the state. After carefully reviewing the governor’s plan along with feedback from families and employees we were able to plan our own path forward to reopen AFI.
AFI administration has put in place safety procedures and equipment that we know will provide the most effective way to provide therapy in a safe environment.
Employees providing therapy will be equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that will be required during the 1st stage of the reopening plan
Continual hand washing and proper hygiene will also be required for all participants and employees
Employees provided disinfectant to use before, during, and after therapy
Employees provided individual hand sanitizer bottles for use when in the community
AFI buildings will have daily disinfecting performed
Activities will be done in locations where social distancing is possible
If anyone presents presents signs of fever or illness they will be sent home immediately
Through the first stage of the reopening plan, therapy activities will be mostly individual and will only allow small groups of 2-3 clients. Even with these limitations we will still require the most social distancing that is possible. As we proceed through the next couple of days and weeks the administration will continue to review how services are being delivered and make adjustments to ensure safety continues to be a primary goal.
As always, we thank you for entrusting us with the safety and care of your kids. And during this difficult time it is our hope that we can all work together to provide our kids and employees with a safe and effective therapy environment.
