Improving Mental Health of Children and Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder

The prevalence of Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) has been increasing in the last two decades and now 1 in 59 children are diagnosed with ASD. Many Autism experts consider ASD to be a whole-body disorder because of the high prevalence of medical comorbidities and the presence of dysregulation in immune function, microbiome, oxidative stress, and other fundamental processes.

Primary Care Physicians (PCP) can play a key role in improving the mental health of children and adults with Autism spectrum disorder. The Autism Summit is working to expand PCP tools and resources by providing current research-based interventions and information.

Join in to learn from national and local Autism Experts. Visit www.idahochd.org/autismsummit to view the schedule and to register. CME available.
